SCRAPER comes as a handheld tool which could be used for quick qualitative chlorine detection. SCRAPER is small in size, makes it easy to carry. SCRAPER is based on ATMega 5353 microcontroller and LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) sensor. SCRAPER works by reading the light emitted from white rice using a sensor. The microcontroller then translates the reading and displays the result on a small display screen.
SCRAPER is suitable for Government or similar bodies responsible for ensuring food safety. Currently, SCRAPER could only be used for detecting the presence of chlorine in white rice. In the future, we hope SCRAPER could be used on other commodities as well as SCRAPER is highly programmable.
