Bioplastic is a natural plastic which is usually made of 2 materials, there are starch and cellulose. This bioplastic is a alternative to conventional plastics commonly used in everyday life. Bioplastic is made from the main ingredient of starch from the Salak skin waste and other supporting materials is cellulose from Bacteria Nata De Coco Bioplastic is square and has properties that tend to be chewy, not easily broken and elastic. This bioplastic serves as a substitute for conventional plastics that are of course environmentally friendly and do not pollute the environment, replace plastic paper from food or plastic wrap, and potentially reduce the problem of plastic waste, especially in Indonesia.

Bioplastics from salak leather waste are superior to conventional plastics because based on test results, water soluble bioplastic with a period of 5 days, more resistant to mold within 7 days, bioplastics can also be tested biodegradable biodegradable in soil for 14 days, bioplastic also has the level of flexibility, and ideal bioplastik of P.3 which has a thickness level of 0,01 inchi.
